Cards v. Bills

After living in AZ for the last three years, I finally attended my first game at University of Phoenix Stadium (home of the Cardinal and Super Bowl 2008 - I don't want to look up the roman numeral!)

Here was my view of the game. 15 rows up from end zone (which I equate to bleacher bum territory in baseball). I had a great view of the replay screen and enjoyed hanging with Derrick Logan - Great guy!

What stadium is the best venue you've witnessed a sporting event?

Fantasy Football

I've started my second season playing FF with a group of dudes from the church. Last year I really didn't know what I was doing. This year I kind of do ... but we will see.

Football season makes for a fun fall/winter (college on Saturdays, pro on Sundays). My pick to win it all as of today .... College USC, Pro.... my heart says SD Chargers, my head says the NY Jets (Brett Farve sticking it to the PACK).

BTW - I finished in last place last year!

Who do you pick to win the Super Bowl? (say it now ... we will see)

Olympics are here!

I am getting excited about the Olympics.  Why?

*The opening ceremonies are pretty cool - for the first hour and half ...

*They only come around every four years.  

*The competition.

*The stories of those who participate and how some have overcome great challenges.

*Bob Costas - he's the best

*This Olympics, in China, has a special tie to our family.  We've traveled there and it will be good to see some of  the places we've seen.  Of course this does not endorse any human rights violations, political stance, or religious beliefs - not sure why I feel I have to clarify that!

*Swimming, Hoops, Track & Field are some of my favorites. 

*Gymnastics is a guilty pleasure .... Strength and grace together!
